On the other hand, athletes with smaller hands can choose relatively shorter and narrower grip tape to avoid inconvenience in gripping due to overly long or wide tape, which could affect the flexibility of movement. Meanwhile, different sports habits also influence the choice of grip tape. For example, some athletes prefer a relatively tight gripping feel and may tend to choose grip tape that is slightly wider and of moderate length. Others, who place more emphasis on the flexibility of gripping, will opt for relatively narrower and shorter grip tape. The length and width of grip tape have multiple impacts on sports. They are not only related to the comfort and stability of athletes' gripping but also affect power transfer, hitting accuracy, and hand health.
